An American tourist passed away on Tuesday after being caught by a sea current at Dominical beach. Johnny Zamora, a supervisor from the Red Cross, confirmed that the incident was reported at 9:02 a.m. on the South side in Osa.

The woman was swimming at the beach when she was pulled away by the current. Unfortunately, she did not survive.
Several people performed resuscitation maneuvers, but she did not respond. When the ambulance arrived at the scene, her death was confirmed.
The deceased was a 62-year-old woman who was on vacation in the country. Her identity has not been disclosed.
