The 11th cold front passing through Mexico is expected to extend to the southeast of the country and the Yucatan Peninsula on Thursday, potentially causing rains of varying intensities in eight states, as reported by the National Meteorological Service (SMN) on Wednesday.
According to the latest bulletin from the governmental institution, the states likely to experience precipitation include Veracruz, Chiapas, Tabasco, Oaxaca, Campeche, Tamaulipas, Yucatan, and Quintana Roo.
Furthermore, it is anticipated that due to the cold front and the first winter storm of the season, conditions conducive to snowfall and sleet will persist in northern states of Mexico.
Which states in Mexico will be affected by the cold front?
This scenario is particularly expected in the mountainous regions of the states of Sinaloa, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, and Durango.
For the Valley of Mexico in the central part of the country, the SMN predicts cold weather, overcast skies, and drizzle.
