The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of Panama (IMHPA) revealed the updated conditions of the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and Climatic Forecast for the month of March 2024.

According to the Moderate-Strong El Niño Conditions, they will continue with an 83% probability for the period of March, April, and May 2024.

Until when will the El Niño phenomenon continue?
With a 72% probability that between the period of April, May, and June 2024, the ENSO event will transition to a Neutral phase.

The probability of La Niña Conditions developing is greater than 65% in the second half of 2024, according to the entity.
