Fire in Santa Ana: Structure falls on Firefighters

Amid efforts to extinguish the fire in El Chorrillo, it is reported that several units of the Fire Department were affected after part of the structure of one of the burning houses collapsed on them. Fortunately, all personnel are out of danger.

The weather conditions are changing, as it has started to rain in the area. However, the firefighters continue their extinguishing work in the houses affected by the fire.

Devastating fire in Santa Ana

The fire has devastated five wooden houses on streets 13 and 14 of La Logia in El Chorrillo, Santa Ana. In an act of solidarity, our staff is providing support to the Meritorious Fire Department (BCBP). The director general, Armando Palacios, is on site coordinating humanitarian assistance.

The National Police have deployed units to ensure the safety of residents in the sector of street 14 in the Corregimiento of Santa Ana, where the fire is registered in one of the buildings. Drivers are urged to take alternate routes while extinguishing work continues and the affected area is secured.

The suspension of electricity service in some areas is reported due to the fire in El Chorrillo. Colonel Ernesto De León, director of the Fire Department, highlights the work done by the firefighters, including the search and rescue of people. Fortunately, a missing person has been found in good condition.

The Minister of Government, Roger Tejada, along with the director of the Fire Department, Ernesto De León, have gone to the scene of the fire in El Chorrillo to supervise the operations and establish a command center for more effective coordination.
