MOP states that lane changes are scheduled weekly, based on the progress and needs of the project. Traffic changes will occur during nighttime hours.

The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) notifies users of the Pan-American Highway about ongoing vehicle circulation changes on lanes parallel to the construction of the La Chorrera viaduct during nighttime hours from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. MOP will carry out work on the Pan-American Highway for 35 days.

The project: Expansion to Six Lanes, Beach Corridor, in the Panama West province will benefit over two million inhabitants from all over the country who use the Pan-American Highway, mainly residents of the La Chorrera district.

This week, phase one of the lane transfer began 100 meters before the entrance to La Herradura and will rejoin in front of Nuevo Milenio plaza. This phase involves transferring vehicles to one of the lanes heading from the interior towards the Arraiján-La Chorrera Highway.

Phase two started in front of Nuevo Milenio plaza in the La Pesa sector and will end 100 meters after the entrance to La Herradura. This phase transfers cars moving from La Chorrera and the Highway to one of the lanes heading towards the interior of the country.

MOP indicates that lane changes are scheduled weekly, depending on the progress and needs of the project.

MOP and the contracting company, Grupo Puentes y Calzadas Infraestructuras S.L.U. Panama Branch, apologize to drivers for any inconvenience caused during these operations.
