The Panama City Municipality announced that the “Cultural Reunion” will take place at the Mi Pueblito Tourist Center next Saturday, April 20th.
This “Cultural Reunion” consists of folkloric, cultural, and gastronomic activities, where the presence of nationals and foreigners is expected.
The “Cultural Reunion” will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., where you can get to know the cultural settlements that represent the customs and cultural traits that have been part of our identity for generations.
Mi Pueblito was reopened a few days ago, with an investment of 1.3 million dollars, to share the cultural diversities of the Panamanian population.
It is open to the public from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The entrance fee is 1.00 dollar for nationals and 3.00 dollars for foreigners, Children and retirees enter for free.
The 3 plazas of Mi Pueblito are:
-Mi Pueblito interiorano: This plaza represents the culture of the interior of the country, with quincha houses, tile roofs, adobe houses, and includes a parish. It contains a museum that showcases the Panamanian pollera.
-Mi Pueblito Afroantillano: Here you can find an Anglican church with a wooden façade and you can also see a replica of the Müller house, a boat-shaped building, with a viewpoint with a beautiful view of the sea.
-Mi Pueblito Indígena: It portrays the geography of Cerro Ancón that represents the life of indigenous peoples, with their wooden houses acquired from nature.
