The National Meteorological Institute of Costa Rica (IMN) predicts that moderate to strong trade winds will persist throughout this Friday. Additionally, there will be a noticeable difference in rainfall between the various regions of the country, a typical characteristic of December. As is customary, December will be rainier on the Caribbean side than on the Pacific side.

Furthermore, the dry season is established in the North Pacific, Central Pacific, and a transitional period for the South Pacific.

For December 1st, the moisture content in the Caribbean remains moderate during the morning, and the trade winds continue to be brisk. These factors could result in scattered showers in some areas of the Caribbean, Northern Zone, Guanacaste mountain range, and mountainous sectors of the Central Valley in the morning.

However, moisture decreases for the afternoon and evening of this Friday, leading to a stable atmosphere that inhibits cloudiness and precipitation conditions throughout the country. As we enter December, these weather patterns reflect the onset of the rainy season in certain regions and the establishment of the dry season in others, creating a diverse climate across the country.
